Spiritual Nutrition
Sunday, 3:45 - 5:00 :: Sawtooth Room

Most people are consciously making changes in their diet these days, and as a society some of us have become very good at reading labels, calculating numbers, and relating that to our personal weight and health goals. Moving beyond these methods, it's time to understand nutrition on a deeper level. Our food and lifestyle choices can bring us into balance and peace with nature, our community, relationship, and personally empower us with health and vitality. Drawing from the work of Gabriel Cousens, M.D., Dr. Bob Marshall, Dr. Christy Garner, and others, Molly will discuss moving towards a relationship with food and nutrition that brings us to our optimal weight, energy level, sports performance, all while strengthening and enhancing our innate spiritual connection. When our bodies are detoxified and provided with the proper nutrition our spiritual practices are inherently strengthened. From general principals to specific nutrients, Molly will discuss nutrition on several levels to foster an awareness of our food choices and the impacts of those choices on our life, collectively and individually.

Great Transition Stories
Sunday, 11:15 - 12:30 :: Continental Room

The human family is in the midst of the greatest transition in human history. We are being pushed by powerful trends to rise to a new level of collective wisdom and find our way, together, into a promising future. There may be no more important task for humanity than to cultivate narratives in our collective imagination that can help guide us toward a sustainable and meaningful future. These narratives or stories are universal, simple, emotionally powerful, and invite us to realize humanity’s higher potentials.

Once we are able to find ourselves in the larger story of humanity's journey, we can also find our unique purpose and contribution. Our times become more meaningful, change becomes less mysterious and overwhelming, and we are empowered to act both individually and in concert with one another.

Portions of this talk will be interactive and people will be invited to share their own stories of transition in small groups.

(Re)Birthing a Gift Culture
Sunday, 2:00 - 3:15 :: Limelight A

Flying in the face of conventional economic theory, which assumes that people only want to maximise their self interest, a group of college kids started a series of experiments with the opposite idea - that people are drawn to behave selflessly.   What began with four friends in the Silicon Valley as ServiceSpace has now spread to millions around the globe, and is birthing some radically unique designs.  Projects include Karma Kitchen, a restaurant with no prices on the menu, where your bill has already been paid by a previous diner and you are invited to donate for the guests after you.  When our systems rely on our innate kindness towards each other, it unlocks a profound inner transformation that changes our way of being and relating to each other.  That inner transformation, coupled with the internet's capacity, connects small, loosely-knit pieces of goodness, and gives birth to micro “gift economies” that reconnect ancient values with modern application.  In this presentation, Nipun Mehta will share some of the pioneering experiments of "giftivism," speak about the lessons he's learned from his personal practices, and brainstorm ideas for creating a broader gift culture in our societies.
+ Expand

At the age of 25, Nipun quit his job to become a "full time volunteer." He is the founder of ServiceSpace, an all volunteer-run organization using technology to inspire greater volunteerism. What started as an experiment with friends is now a global ecosystem of over 400,000 members who have delivered millions of dollars in service for free. Their projects include DailyGood, KarmaTube, Help Others and KarmaKitchen. Nipun has received the Jefferson Award for Public Service, the President's Volunteer Service Award and Wavy Gravy's Humanitarian award. He is routinely invited to share his message of "giftivism" with a wide range of audiences and his speech at UPenn commencement was read by millions. He also serves on the advisory boards of the Seva Foundation, the Dalai Lama Foundation, and Greater Good Science Center.

Adventures in Money Mastery
Sunday, 9:30 - 10:45 :: Sawtooth Room

Do you want to feel better about your money, but don’t know how to do that?  Do you wonder if there are hidden secrets to financial success that you have missed?  The secrets aren’t really hidden, they are right inside you, and all you have to do is “bring it” to your interactions with money.

Tresa Leftenant created a program to teach others the system that took her from decades of unconsciously creating credit card debt to consciously creating a seven figure net worth, and it’s not what the typical financial planner talks about.  The first step to changing our results with money requires that we be motivated to change our mind.  One way to do that is to clear away the “shoulds,” and focus on our passions and dreams.  Money decisions become easier when we change our mind and permit ourselves to grow and evolve.  Another step to changing our results is to consciously take responsibility for what we think and believe and how we behave with money.  It’s very freeing to take responsibility for what we choose, and doing so can fill us with the energy we need to take a stand and make a plan.  We all know how important trust is in financial dealings.  Learning to trust ourselves is a critical step to money mastery.  Believing that we can attract what we desire, and feel secure with new levels of financial success, is the breakthrough we need to prosper.

Why Stillpower Always Works Better than Willpower
Saturday, 11:15 - 12:30 :: Limelight A

Garret Kramer will discuss the understanding that when we struggle, if left alone, the human mind will default to clarity, resilience, determination, and love. In this talk you will see that using strategies or techniques (such as willpower, affirmations, or visualization) is like stepping on the gas pedal when your tires are stuck in mud. Stillpower, on the other hand, is knowing what is happening behind the scenes in your own head, and, thus, allowing your own natural functioning, instincts, or inner wisdom to easily guide you throughout life.

Living an Awakened Relationship
Saturday, 3:45 - 5:00 :: Continental Room

Many who have been on a “spiritual path” for years are recognizing that an incredible shift has taken place recently.  Awakening is no longer difficult to attain.  The Divine has opened the doors to Heaven and Grace is pouring in.  This shift is changing relationships dramatically.  Hear how Peter and Thayer have experienced the evolution of their relationship on the path to Awakening.  Hear how you can tune into this shift and experience its influence on your own relationships.

Peter and Thayer will also be sharing the Oneness Meditation, an effortless transmission of Divine Love, following their talk and again on Sunday morning.  The Oneness Meditation is a powerful transmission of Divine Love.  It does not conflict with any religion or way of life.  It is for everyone.  The Oneness Meditation requires nothing of you, other than your openness and receptivity.  You simply sit quietly and look effortlessly into the Oneness Meditator’s eyes.  No prior experience of any kind is needed.  People from all walks of life, all backgrounds and all faiths, are experiencing wonderful effects from participating in the Oneness Meditation.  The Oneness Meditation is not about any teaching, belief or philosophy.  It's simply about Awakening in your own life.  There is no charge for the Oneness Meditation.

Peter and Thayer consciously started pursuing spiritual development as teenagers and have practiced and taught beginning to advanced courses on meditation and Vedic philosophy since the early 1970s.  In recent years, after connecting with Oneness University in India, both have Awakened, illuminating years of spiritual teaching and practice with the direct experience of the Divine nature of life.

Peter and Thayer have been married for 34 years, many of those years filled with challenges, like the birth of a severely disabled granddaughter. Their very ordinary lives and careers have put them in the mainstream and they enjoy talking about the naturalness and profound ordinariness of Awakening in daily life. Awakening is not something that separates people by creating high states that can’t be shared. It makes it very obvious that we are all deeply connected and that we thrive and very naturally help others as we become more and more aware of the world as family.

Leap of Perception: The Transforming Power of Your Attention
Saturday, 9:30 - 10:45 :: Limelight A

Today, we are in the midst of a global transformation of consciousness; the Information Age is speeding to the point where our perception will soon make a “leap” into the Intuition Age. Inherent in this is a change in our underlying "geometry of perception" - from an old linear model to a new spherical-holographic way of seeing ourselves and reality. As we integrate this new worldview, the rules of the way reality functions change dramatically. We are becoming a new kind of human being, living in a new kind of malleable, immediately responsive world. How will this reality function? What will we be like? How do we ease our transition?
Penney Peirce will talk about many of the concepts from her new book, Leap of Perception, and will help you experience the beginnings of the shift. In this brief overview, she’ll touch on many new "attention skills" that will soon seem normal. Included are such things as direct knowing, undivided attention, flow attention, unified field attention, collective-self attention, and working skillfully with the imaginal realm to materialize new realities in the blink of an eye. The result of this transformative leap of perception will be many "new human" abilities that previously have been thought to be supernatural, and an entirely new understanding of multidimensional life, where death as we know it no longer exists, and there is no "other side."
This presentation will help you understand and experience:
 * The difference between old linear and new spherical-holographic perception, and how to shift between them at will
 * The important changing relationship between left and right brain
 * The power of attention - not intention - in materializing realities
 * How to manage your increasing ultrasensitivity and empathic ability

Penney Peirce will offer six 90-minute, in-depth life and business consultations Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning. To book a session, please call Sun Valley Events at (208) 726-2777.
